½ cup P.A.N. Sweet Corn Mix
4 big apples
1/3 cup brown sugar
6 tablespoons butter
1 tablespoon lemon juice
½ cup nuts, chopped
¾ cup wheat flour
1/3 cup granulated sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon
2 teaspoon baking powder
¼ teaspoon salt
1 egg
¾ cup milk
PREPARATION
Dough: Preheat the oven to 450 °F; flour a pie mold of 8 inches.
Add P.A.N. Sweet Corn Mix, wheat flour, granulated sugar, baking powder and salt in a food processor. Blend until you have a firm dough. Add 4 tablespoons of butter and keep mixing. Beat the eggs with milk in a different bowl and add this mixture to the dough in the food processor until it has a uniform consistency.
Apples: Peel and cut the apples in thin slices.
Heat 2 spoons of butter in a pan on medium heat and add the apples with the brown sugar, cinnamon and lemon juice, keep stirring until the liquid reduces and the apples are tender, approximately 5-6 minutes. Add nuts and stir.
Place de apples in the pie mold; flatten the dough to the same size of the mold and place on top of the apples, bake until the crust becomes golden brown, 15-20 minutes approximately. Remove from the oven and unmold using a small knife, passing it through the edges of the mold.
