We Welcomed Nearly 30,000 Visitors to Our Booth at Alimentaria 2026

We returned to Alimentaria in Barcelona for the second time with great enthusiasm — a premier trade fair that brings together the most important players across the entire food industry value chain while providing exceptional visibility for our brands.

This year, Alimentaria celebrated its 50th anniversary with an attendance of 109,600 visitors. For us as a company, being part of this milestone edition was especially meaningful, not only because of the event’s prestige, but also because it plays a vital role in our expansion strategy across Europe, Asia, and other international markets.

“Alimentaria is an outstanding showcase for our brands, since it allows us to carry out valuable networking, explore potential strategic partnerships, and stay up to date with the latest industry innovations and trends — all within the same space,” said Andrés Añez, Director of the Eurasia Subregion.

Each edition of the fair features a dedicated area called Innoval, designed to spotlight new product launches from participating companies. This year, Alimentos Polar España introduced Polar Premium as the newest addition to its portfolio. Miguel Yánez, Commercial Director for Eurasia, had the opportunity to share with attendees the unique qualities that make Polar Premium stand out as the perfect blend of tradition and sophistication.

Our eye-catching food truck became one of the highlights of the event, serving more than 30 rounds of tastings including tequeños, arepas, tacos, nachos, breaded chicken, muffins, cookies, and empanadas — all prepared by our chef Alfonso Bortone. In addition to showcasing the versatility of P.A.N. products in the kitchen, Chef Bortone joined food influencer @cocinaconchia in demonstrating how our iconic corn flour can be used in traditional Catalan dishes such as tostadas, cocas, fritters, and arepas de galtas.

As with every international trade fair, our entire team gave their very best to showcase the strong value proposition behind our portfolio and the proven potential of our brands to compete in the global marketplace, reinforcing Empresas Polar’s continued international expansion.
