INGREDIENTS

1 cup P.A.N. Pre-cooked Yellow Corn Meal

½ cup all-purpose flour

3 teaspoons baking powder

2 ¼  cup milk

¼ cup sugar

1 teaspoon salt

Pepper to taste

1 egg

14 hot dogs

14 wooden skewers, moistened

4 cups vegetable oil

PREPARATION

    Insert wooden skewers in the hot dogs, leaving ⅓ of the skewers out. Set aside.

    Mix  P.A.N. Pre-cooked Yellow Corn Meal and all dry ingredients in a bowl.

    Add milk and egg. Whisk vigorously until the batter thickens.  

  4. 4

    Place batter in a large container so that the hot dogs are completely covered.  

  5. 5

    Dip the sausage in the batter. Drain excess and deep-fry until golden brown.  

  6. 6

    Remove from heat and drain over paper towels. Serve while hot accompanied with a dip of choice.
